Library Building Access for Manhattan College Alumni
Alumni who want library privileges must register with the Library before visiting. To register, complete this form at least a day or two before your first visit. We will check your alumni status, then send you an e-mail message that confirms your library access privileges.
You will need to bring three things on your first visit to the Library:
1. a photo ID
2. a Visitor’s Green Pass (see below)
3. proof of vaccination, in print or digital form (i.e., evidence that you’ve received at least one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine or at least two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine).
To get your Green Pass, you’ll need to complete the Visitor version of the COVID-19 Daily Symptom Tracker each time you visit (i.e., on the day of each visit, before you arrive). The form takes just a few seconds to complete. Each time, the system will issue a Visitor’s Green Pass, which you’ll need to show (in print or digital form) when you enter the library building. You may also be asked for your Green Pass if you park on campus.
The first time you visit, stop by the Circulation Desk to pick up your library card. On each subsequent visit, you’ll need to show that card instead of your photo ID.
Masks are recommended but not required indoors at the college. If you would like a mask please ask for one at the Circulation Desk.
You are welcome to use the Library’s computers or to use your own laptop. To use the Library’s computers, please ask at the Circulation Desk for the guest password. Printing, scanning, and copying are free, but please print double-sided, if possible.
As a visitor, you’ll have access to all our online resources—databases, journals, etc.—only when you’re physically on campus. If you’d like borrowing privileges—permission to check out print books and DVDs for use outside the Library—please contact Valerie Jimenez by e-mail.
During the last week of classes and the week of final exams, the library building is open only to current Manhattan College students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
Spring 2022: May 1st-13th
If you’re driving, please park in the parking garage, not in the small lots near the main entrance to campus. The entrance to the parking garage is near 4570 Manhattan College Parkway. You shouldn’t need a parking permit, but if you do get ticketed, please use this web form to explain that you were visiting the Library. We’ll make sure you don’t need to pay any parking fines if you park in the garage.
Please note that alumni are not allowed to bring guests to the Library.
If you have any questions, please contact Valerie Jimenez by e-mail or at (718) 862-7166.
