The sources of your paper will be cited in a certain style so that it is consistent for the reader. Your instructor will let you know which of the below styles they'd like used for your citations.
At the bottom of this page there are links to citation generators that will take the information you tell them about your sources and generate the notes and bibliography in the style you want. You still need to check the bibliography and notes they generate against the style guide for the style your instructor wants to make sure it's correct.
