DAsH

Research Guide for DAsH (or digital humanities) resources and tools

Intro

DAsH stands for the Digital Arts and Humanities minor at Manhattan College, called sometimes "digital humanities" elsewhere in academia. The term "digital humanities" has had a variety of definitions applied to it, but to put it simply it is the application of digital tools and methods to arts and humanities scholarship as well as the study of how humans have been living more digitally. Digital tools allow scholars to analyze texts and present their results in new and unique ways. Digital humanities also upholds values of openness, inclusiveness, collaboration and critical thinking that these tools make both easier and more pivotal.
