Faculty of other institutions do not need to register before visiting the Library. However, you will need to bring a photo ID issued by your college or university that shows your faculty status, or a photo ID plus other clear evidence of your faculty status.
You must also sign in at the Circulation Desk, unless you have a Manhattan University library card.
You are welcome to use the Library’s computers or to use your own laptop. To use the Library’s computers, please ask at the Circulation Desk for the guest password. Printing, scanning, and copying are free, but please print double-sided, if possible.
As a visitor, you’ll have access to all our online resources—databases, journals, etc.—only when you’re physically on campus. If you’d like borrowing privileges—permission to check out print books and DVDs for use outside the Library—please contact Valerie Jimenez by e-mail. If you are granted borrowing privileges, you’ll be issued a library card and can show that card instead of your photo ID when entering the library building.
During the last week of classes and the week of final exams, the library building is open only to current Manhattan University students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
Visiting faculty must use the main entrance to campus (rather than the entrance near the parking garage) after 9 pm on weekdays, after 8 pm on Saturdays, and all day Sunday. If you need to park on campus—in the parking garage near 4570 Manhattan University Parkway—please contact Valerie Jimenez with the date of your visit, your approximate arrival and departure times, and a very brief description of your vehicle.
Please note that visiting faculty are not allowed to bring guests to the Library.
If you have any questions, please contact Valerie Jimenez.
