Finding Books in O'Malley Library

Searching Tips:

  • If you want to search by author, title, subject, etc., you can choose one of those options from the drop-down menu on the above left.
  • Entering two or more keywords will increase the specificity of your results.
  • If your search retrieves too few or no results, try using synonyms and different combinations of keywords.
  • To search for a phrase, use quotation marks

Finding Books on the Shelves

In order to find books, search the library catalog or Discovery Search. The catalog also contains records for ebooks, DVDs, videos, government documents,  and teaching materials. Check the Call Number Location Guide for the floor.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL): Requesting materials from other libraries

When the O'Malley Library does not have a book (print) or journal article that you need, please search Worldcat for it. 
  1. Find the desired item.
  2. click on the REQUEST IT!
  3. This link will lead you to your interlibrary loan (ILL) account. The form is auto populated with most of the bibliographic information. 
  4. Enter a phone number and select your status. 
  5. Click SUBMIT.
  6. Monitor the progress on requested items by logging into your ILL account.
