  •  Ask for circulation for general questions about the the library services,  inquiries regarding your account or campus referrals.

Schedule a research consultation: 

  • Find a librarian on the Library Directory.
  • Email or call a librarian to discuss resources and activities that might help you develop and increase proficiency in English.
  • Take business cards to contact librarians.  You will find these at the Reference Desk.

What about problems with technology?

For issues concerning technological issues, network issues, Jaspernet Log On malfunctions, etc., visit Client Services in the O'Malley Library, 5th floor. 

There is a Student IT Worker available throughout the day to facilitate resolving technological issues.

Jasper Online Information Literacy (JOLT)

Jasper Online Information Literacy (JOLT)

JOLT is a test to assess incoming students' information literacy skills.  It is also administered to graduating students to assess their information literacy skills as they graduate from Manhattan University with their undergraduate degrees.

The JOLT Tutorial will help IELP students learn how to search the online catalog, Jaspercat, and library databases.  It will provide English Language Learners (ELLs) become acquainted with academic research in the United States.

You may use the JOLT Tutorial as often as you like.  If you would like additional assistance in understanding concepts presented in JOLT, please contact one of the librarians. 

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

If you need a book or article from another library, we can request it for you via Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

How do I get a Jasper I.D. Card?

To get a Jasper I.D. card, go to the I.D. Card Office in Thomas Hall, 1st. floor (outside of Café 1853).
